About glm5.app

glm5.app is an independent platform for working with GLM 5, the fifth-generation frontier large language model from Zhipu AI. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Zhipu AI — we build tools on top of the model so you can use it without managing infrastructure, provider accounts, or SDK plumbing.

The goal is narrow and practical: give people a fast way to actually use a frontier open-weight model. That means a chat interface that does not get in the way, an OpenAI SDK-compatible API so existing code works unchanged, and enough documentation that you can judge whether the model fits your task before you spend anything.

What GLM 5 Is

GLM 5 is developed by Zhipu AI, one of China's leading AI research companies. It uses a Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) architecture with roughly 745 billion total parameters, of which about 44 billion activate per inference — the design lets a very large model run at a fraction of the cost its parameter count would suggest.

The GLM (General Language Model) series is notable for shipping open weights rather than staying closed, which is why it shows up in self-hosted and cost-sensitive deployments where the frontier closed models are impractical.

What You Can Do Here

  • Chat — conversations for research, brainstorming, writing, and problem-solving
  • Code — generate, debug, refactor, and explain code across 50+ languages
  • Reason — multi-step logical, mathematical, and analytical tasks
  • Generate images — photorealistic 2K output via Seedream 5.0
  • Create videos — AI video generation
  • Build agents — autonomous agents for multi-step workflows

Pricing and per-model token costs are listed on the pricing page, and the blog covers benchmarks, comparisons against other frontier models, and integration guides.
